At Grand Risings Farm, we believe in the sacred connection between land, healing, and heritage. Rooted in a deep respect for the soil, we are committed to revitalizing the relationship between African Americans and the earth—restoring a legacy interrupted by displacement, incarceration, and disconnection.

Led by Degen, a farmer, teacher, and agricultural consultant with lived experience navigating systemic barriers, our farm is more than a place of production—it's a space of resilience, education, and regeneration. Through hands-on mentorship, cultural reconnection, and sustainable practices, we empower the next generation of land stewards and equity farmers.
We grow food, but more importantly, we grow belonging, purpose, and power—one seed at a time.
